Ronda Rousey failed to return at UFC 207, falling to reigning UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes. Even before the former champion entered the cage, there were already questions arising on whether she still had what it takes to make another run. As most know by now, she ended up finishing worse with Nunes needing only 48 seconds to dispose of “Rowdy”.

By now, most are aware that Ronda Rousey is broken. As to when this started, the answer is obvious – UFC 193. This was the time Rousey fell to Holly Holm, the first UFC defeat of her career. Holm’s coach Mike Winkeljohn shares the same sentiments, believing Rousey has not yet gotten over that shock loss in November 2016.

And now, following belief by UFC president Dana White that Rousey is done, Winkeljohn seconds that by believing UFC 207 may have been the last we have seen of “Rowdy”, Yahoo Sports reported. Winkeljohn’s take is technically the same as most critics and observers. The self-confidence the former champion had coming into the fight was in question, capped by the fact she still had no answers to strikes by opponents.

Nunes and Holm are known for their striking game, exposing a flaw that Rousey would need to address. Many have offered to help Rousey out, even Floyd Mayweather Jr. Rousey has not come out to address the aid being given to her – though she may never will. For now, she is taking another break and most believe that it may be for keeps. All that is except for Holly Holm who believes retirement will not last forever, Rolling Stone reported.

Like most, she believes Rousey needs some time off to reflect. It may take her some time to get her back her bearings, but Holm is not getting on the Ronda Rousey retirement bandwagon. Holm is set to face Germaine de Randamie at UFC 208 which happens on Feb. 11 in Brooklyn. At stake is the newly created UFC featherweight title, which she can add to her collection.
