Update Date: Apr 08, 2017 06:46 AM EDT

"Jessica Jones" adds an award-winning actress who will go against Marvel's kickass superheroine-slash-detective. Check out the latest spoilers for "Jessica Jones" Season 2.

"Jessica Jones" Season 2 Casting Update

Janet McTeer will join the Marvel superhero in the Netflix series for a top-secret role, Entertainment Weekly reported. Her character is someone who will have an important role in Jessica's life. This will be the latest casting update for the show.

The crew is indeed happy with the addition of McTeer. Marvel TV's Jeph Loeb said that she is key in "capturing what audiences loved" about the show. Content VP Cindy Holland and creator Melissa Rosenberg shared the same ideas with him.

“Her gravitas and authenticity are the perfect ingredients for all we’re trying to create this year," Rosenberg said. "She disappears into roles, gives her characters extraordinary dimension and depth."

McTeer won several awards for her roles in "A Doll's House," "Tumbleweeds," and "Albert Nobbs." Her recent acting credits include "White Queen," "The Divergent Series: Insurgent," and "Me Before You."

Nuke To Return On "Jessica Jones" Season 2?

According to Screen Rant, Will Traval hinted on his possible return. The actor played the role of Will Simpson in the show. Check out his tweet below.

Travel did not exactly say that he is part of the production entourage. But, based on the latest updates, the team is now filming some scenes at Broadway in New York.

In "Jessica Jones" Season 1, Kilgrave AKA The Purple Man used him to haunt Jessica. He is the love interest for Jessica's friend, Trish (Rachael Taylor).

Wil transforms to his superhero alter-ego, Nuke by ingesting some special pills. As of now, there is still no updates if he will take on the appearance of the original comic book character. Nuke is known for his military clothes and American flag face paint.

"Jessica Jones" Season 2 will reportedly premiere in 2018. Before its release, she will join "The Defenders" in Aug.
