Manny Pacquiao Next Fight Latest News & Update: Amir Khan Being Wooed As Next Opponent

Manny Pacquiao has been in the headlines recently thanks to a cryptic tweet where he asked his supporters on who he should fight next. That, of course, placed Jeff Horn in a corner, the Australian fighter who was looming as his next foe in Brisbane.

For some reason, the landscape change. Most believe that it was the lack of star-power of Horn that forced Pacquiao and company to look elsewhere. If it is any consolation, Jeff Horn was among the list of opponents the eight-time division champion placed. The others were Amir Khan, Terence Crawford, and Kell Brook. But when the smoke cleared, most wanted to see Pacquiao face his former sparring partner, Amir Khan, Boxing News Online reported.

Amir Khan was previously contemplating on facing Brook before money matters broke up fight negotiations. Crawford, on the other hand, is set to face Errol Spence. These three are apparently intertwined with Khan waiting on who comes out victorious. While in waiting, Khan could be a wise choice for Pacquiao.Looking at their history, Pacquiao and Khan have planned to face off before.

One got shunned when Floyd Mayweather Jr. agreed to face the Filipino boxing icon while the next one saw the Bolton fighter pulling out of talks. Amir Khan stands to benefit if he agrees to fight Manny Pacquiao. He has been known to brag and play hard, believing he ranks among the best. This would technically be another opportunity for him not only to earn millions but boost his stock. Nothing has transpired but all that could change in the coming weeks.

For Horn and his camp, they are still under the impression that a fight will take place in Brisbane. Pacquiao announced as well that his next fight will be in the UAE, further pushing a possible fight with the 29-year-old former school teacher. Horn believes these are mind games being played and remains confident that he and Pacquiao will face off eventually – even if it will be in the UAE, Courier Mail reported.
