With no word on what Dallas Cowboys team owner Jerry Jones for displaced veteran Tony Romo, the majority believe that the 36-year-old veteran will be moving on to another team. It could be through a buy-out or trade with multiple teams expected to benefit with someone of Romo’s caliber.

The latest team hitched to Tony Romo is the Houston Texans, a team that seems to be looking for someone who would be a better fit than Brock Osweiler. Osweiler failed to live up to the Texans expectations, eventually benched in favor of backup Tom Savage. There is no word on what the Texans plan to do with the 26-year-old quarterback who signed a four-year deal worth $72 million, Forbes reported.

The money that the Texans invested on Osweiler alone poses questions on how they can possibly squeeze in Tony Romo to the fray. Even if the veteran ends up rescinding his current deal with the Cowboys, he will still look for the best offer in the market aside from wanting a starting role.

All that aside, Houston is seen as a good fit for Tony Romo since he would fill in the quarterback hole the Texans were hoping to address with Osweiler, Dan Graziano hinted via ESPN. But before that can happen, the Texans may have to rid themselves of Osweiler. There is nothing definite for now though there are rumblings that he could end up with the Chicago Bear. But for this to happen, something needs to be done with his massive contract.

Osweiler was originally seen to succeed Peyton Manning with the Denver Broncos before the Houston Texans beat John Elway to the punch. Ironically, Tony Romo is also being linked to the Broncos. Both Denver and Houston are on the same vote, figuring out how to squeeze in Romo but at the right price.
