Fans recently rejoiced when the "Samurai Jack" Season 5 air date was finally revealed, although there were no other updates on the final season of the highly anticipated animated series. Now Adult Swim offers a glimpse at what to expect when Jack returns in March, and it looks like the upcoming season will be much darker and bloodier than its predecessors.

It's no secret that "Samurai Jack" Season 5 is the last season of the animated series, where Jack is expected to finally take on the demon Haku. The move to Adult Swim is undoubtedly appropriate, as the final season's first teaser promises that things could get downright bloody and possibly NSFW.

The teaser for the final season only shows Jack standing in the rain and a brief glimpse at an older hero. However, the short promo also confirms the "Samurai Jack" Season 5 air date and a feel of what fans can look forward to this March. The Adult Swim series is definitely set for a darker vibe complete with actual blood, as creator Genndy Tartakovsky has hinted on last year.

Genndy Tartakovsky has previously revealed that "Samurai Jack" Season 5 will feature more blood than its predecessors (via io9). After all, the final season will feature the real showdown between Jack and Aku, and there have been speculations that the series will conclude with the hero's death. This would explain why the animated series made its big move to Adult Swim after the more tame seasons aired on Cartoon Network.

Will Jack meet his end this March? The final season is set to bring back Phil Lamarr as the titular samurai and John DiMaggio as the Scotsman as well as the demon Aku, who will be voiced by a new actor following Mako Iwamatsu. The "Samurai Jack" Season 5 air date is set for March 11.
