People are still waiting for updates on "Maze Runner: The Death Cure" since the sequel had to postpone production following the Dylan O'Brien accident on set. However, it looks like Wes Ball is already preparing to resume work on "Maze Runner 3". The director has just shared a stunning photo of what could be the highly anticipated movie's new set in South Africa.

The reason for the "Maze Runner 3" delay is not a secret. Last March, Dylan O'Brien was involved in a vehicle accident on the film's set in Canada. Unfortunately, this meant that production would need to be pushed back to allow the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 star some time to recuperate. Nevertheless, it is already time for the sequel to resume filming, and director Wes Ball may have offered a glimpse at what the new set will look like.

Wes Ball recently posted a jawdropping photo on Twitter. The image depicts a large ship on what looks like an abandoned dock. The "Maze Runner 3" director even added a caption teasing about checking "cool locations" when planning a film. Naturally, Dylan O'Brien fans immediately wondered if this meant that the highly anticipated sequel is ready to begin production soon.

Fans have been waiting patiently for Wes Ball to announce when "Maze Runner 3" will begin production. It was previously reported that "The Death Cure" will resume shooting in February, after Dylan O'Brien hopefully wraps up his other project "American Assassin". There are speculations that the movie will begin principal photography in South Africa in mid-February.

"The Death Cure" is set to be the final film in the "Maze Runner" film series and will mark the return of Dylan O'Brien as Thomas. Directed by Wes Ball, "Maze Runner 3" is scheduled for release on January 12, 2018.
