WWE Latest News & Update: John Cena Expects Larger Big Show Performance At Wrestlemania 33

Big Show is set to take on NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal at Wrestlemania 33, a match many feels is geared more an entertainment than an actual competitive match. That could be true though WWE heavyweight champion John Cena begs to differ. In fact, he believes the ‘giant’ is taking the match seriously to show he still has it what it takes in the ring.

Cena weighed in on the Big Show vs. Shaquille O’Neal tiff, pointing out how the Big Show transformed his body and why the match mattered. He mentioned how fans serenaded the WWE star to retire – though the former WWE champion said that the rants didn’t bother him. As fair warning, Cena advised Shaq to be prepared for anything since this would be more than a wrestling match, TMZ reported.

Big Show did emerge last week on WWE Raw and then again at the Royal Rumble. He sported a leaner look, possibly something to even the odds with a smaller Shaquille O’Neal. There are some who believe that Cena’s jabs were more of a sales pitch though such hardly comes as a surprise, Cageside Seats reported. The WWE does inject some celebrities during Wrestlemania events and this one has long been in the making.

Speaking of his new physique, Big Show seems to be in pretty good shape. But a follow-up question to that is what he plans to do next. There was previous word that the giant may be wrestling his last match, a high-profile match which would allow him to hang up his trunks in style. Some believed that an actual match with a certified WWE star would have been better though a Big Show retirement remains to be seen.

For now, Big Show and Shaquille O’Neal continue to try and whip up a storm for their Wrestlemania 33 match. While it seems to be more of an entertainment dish, all eyes will be on how physical these two behemoths will get.
