"Transformers: The Last Knight" may see the greatest threat as the conflict between humanity and Decepticons escalate. The latest TV spot for the upcoming title seemed to turn the tables, with the Autobots fighting one of their own.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" recently released a TV spot, which showed the Autobots in a precarious position to help humanity survive the escalating conflict against the Decepticons. The once powerful allies become helpless in the face of new conflict, Comic Book noted. More so, it appears that the Decepticons isn't the only enemy humans need to defeat. A bigger enemy seemed to slowly reveal itself.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" will continue to see Cade (Mark Wahlberg), Izabella (Isabela Moner) and Josh Duhamel struggle against the unknown enemy and the Decepticons. What's more interesting perhaps is the battle between Autobots and one of their own. The new TV spot, titled "Stay and Fight," featured Optimus Prime returning to Earth only to discover a devastated Cybertron, Blastr added. While plot details remain unclear, it surely looked Optimus Prime is seeking a certain artifact that seemed to connect with King Arthur's sorcerer, Merlin.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" speculations started swirling after the preview was released. There were rumors suggesting that the huge orbiting entity seen in the trailer and the latest TV spot could be Unicron. The villainous planet eater is voiced by Orson Welles in 1986s "The Transformers: The Movie." However, this hasn't been confirmed by the cast and the creators as of date.

While "Transformers: The Last Knight" could be Michael Bay's last title in the franchise, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura feels positive that it will go further ahead. "Transformers: The Last Knight" is set for release on June 23, 2017. Check out the latest TV spot below.
