Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is expected to be released on Dec. 23 though nothing official was announced by the Chinese electronics company. The new came following reports that Xiaomi has sent event invitations for a launch earlier this week. Speculations surfaced that a new laptop from the company will be unveiled in the said event.

As reported by Xiaomi Today, the upcoming Mi Notebook is believed to equip 4G support. The new feature would allow users to bring the device anywhere while being able to connect to the Internet. The official specs, including its name, are yet to be confirmed but several reports detailed some leaked information about the notebook.

The upcoming laptop is speculated to be called Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro but no further details support the moniker. With the word "Pro" that is speculated to come with its name, the new Xiaomi gadget is expected to equip high-end specs such as a 4K screen resolution display, reportedly. As for the storage, a report from MobiPicker claimed that it might get as high as 512GB of SSD storage.

The new Xiaomi notebook is believed to deliver better performance with its 14nm CPU clocked up to 3.50GHz. It is suggested to embed an Intel i7-6700HQ processor that was specifically intended for notebooks. Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is also said to sport a Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M graphics card with 6GB DDR4 RAM.

However, users must be aware by now that most high-end laptops do not come cheap. Given the supposed specs of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro, its price point is predicted to be around $863. The currently available Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air is being sold from $520 so it is expected that the latest device will be more expensive than its predecessor.

Xiaomi Mi Notebook Pro is also suggested to come in two variants, similar to the Mi Notebook Air.
