"Prison Break" Season 5 is highly anticipated especially now that the producers have confirmed that it will return in Spring 2017. However, no specific air date has been announced yet as Fox Network will still have to adjust the scheduling of its shows. Nevertheless, we have gathered some updates from the official Twitter account of the series writers which will surely excite fans out there.

In a recent Twitter Q&A hosted by @PBWritersRoom, it was revealed that the fifth season of the hit TV serial drama will also see new relationships apart from new characters. No specific details were revealed as to what kind of relationships will form. However, the writers said that the new relationships and characters are their most favorite part of "Prison Break" Season 5.

Speaking of new characters, it was already reported by Melty that TJ Ramini, an actor and writer from London, will be joining the "Prison Break" Season 5 cast. When one fan asked about Ramini's role in the show, @PBWritersRoom revealed that his character is very loud. The writers did not elaborate on Ramini's character so fans would just need to wait to see him as the series returns.

As for the air date, @PBWritersRoom clarified that no official release date has been confirmed yet. The writers also promised that the official "Prison Break" Season 5 air date will be announced either through @FOXTV or @PrisonBreak first. For now, fans can follow the official Twitter accounts of the show and the network to get first updates on "Prison Break."

Meanwhile, a report by iDigitalTimes pointed that the GIF photo tweeted by @PrisonBreak back in November might be a clue to how Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) can save Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller). The said image revealed a note that reads, “Find the Sheik of light and I will be free.” As per the report, sheik pertains to a Muslim leader or village chief in Arabic.

That said, it was speculated that the passage was some sort of instructions to help Michael escape prison in Yemen. However, this remains as speculation for now and nothing can be confirmed until fans get to see “Prison Break” Season 5 in 2017. In the meantime, let us know what you think about the note posted by @PrisonBreak on Twitter by dropping a comment below.
