Xbox Project Scorpio Shall be the most Powerful Console Ever: Updates, Specs and News

The rage between Sony's PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox Project Scorpio is heating up more and more after the announcement that the Xbox Project Scorpio will be out by 2017. Sony's PS4 Pro was released last week on Nov. 10, 2016.

On the other hand, Xbox executive Aaron Greenberg said that Microsoft's Project Scorpio console will be able to deliver "true 4K" resolution.

Xbox Project Scorpio will deliver "True 4K"

Greenberg said "This will really bring the most powerful console you've ever seen," during the Xbox FanFest at Mexico City reports GameSpot.com. He also said that "Xbox Project Scorpio" will bring "true 4K" making visual games incredible. Greenberg also claimed that Xbox will be the first to deliver this kind of powerful graphics amongst all gaming console platforms.

Xbox Project Scorpio Specs

The other specs of the" Xbox Project Scorpio" revealed at the Microsoft's E3 2016 press conference said that the console will be powered by 8-core, 320GB memory bandwidth reaching 6-teraflops performance. These specs will ensure that the console will support the targeted 4K gaming experience reports GameSpot.com. However, rumors say that the next Xbox gaming console will just be 2160p and not 4k as it may be impossible to deliver 4 times the HDR with the specs revealed at the conference.

The Xbox executive, Greenberg said that the "really true 4K" in a gaming console will be the most powerful that the gaming world has ever seen.

He also explained that it calls for shelling out thousands of dollars on high-end PC to give users the "really true 4K" experience. He asked an open-ended question at the Xbox Fanfest, "How do we bring that to scale in a console in your living room?" Greenberg revealed that that will be the greatest challenge of the "Xbox Project Scorpio"

Exclusive console for VR titles

Microsoft confirmed that players can experience the native 4K in all first order gamers. However, the company has not revealed any further on the specs of Project Scorpio.

Project Scorpio can support Xbox 360 games and Xbox one titles can be played in the console, said the engineering lead of Xbox Mike. However, Microsoft confirmed that Project Scorpio will exclusive have only the games sporting virtual reality titles.

As it is said to be a premium device from Microsoft it will certainly not be cheap. Touted to be the most powerful gaming console ever, the "Xbox Project Scorpio" is expected to be offered at a higher price than Sony's PS4 Pro, which is sold at $400.
