'The Circle' News: Tom Hanks & Emma Watson Star In Film On Digital Culture [VIDEO]

"The Circle" is set to release this Apr. 28 and stars Tom Hanks and Emma Watson. This digital film is adapted from the book authored by Dave Eggers. It gives a glimpse of what society is with the recent technology.

What Is The Movie About?

Mae Holland, portrayed by Emma Watson is an eager jobseeker and is lucky enough to land a job at a prestigious company called "The Circle." Days after landing in the job, Mae observes that her work in the company can take away her privacy.

She then is recruited by the company's co-founder, Eamon Bailey (Tom Hanks) to wear a surveillance camera and be a model on how it works. All her life is being recorded, as she moves on. The Circle is set to give fans the possibility of what technology can do in one's life according to Variety.

It is indicated that there are scenes from Mae's life that all can see and she is being monitored in The Circle. As the story moves along in the film, the reality will stick to Mae's character on how her job can affect the future generation.

There will be more challenges with the characters as the story unfolds in "The Circle." Tom Hanks will once again showcase his skills as an actor in this new film. In fact, Hanks once indicated that Twitter's CEO has been his inspiration in portraying the role of Bailey in the film.

Watson On Hanks As Co-Actor

Meanwhile, Watson is all praises on Hanks' performance in "The Circle." In fact, she shared that Hanks is all things. She also praised Bill Paxton's performance for the film.

It was some kind of a personal thing for Watson working with Paxton before he passed away, as reported by ET. Paxton portrays the role of Mae's father in the film.

"The Circle" also stars John Boyega, Karel Gillan, and Ellar Coltrane. It also includes Patton Oswalt and Glenne Headly. The film is directed by James Ponsoldt.
