"The Bachelor" Star Caught In A Car Accident

Soules got caught in a fatal car crash which happened last Monday, Apr. 24, 2017. The said incident involved him and his late neighbor, 78-year old Kenneth Mosher.

Soules' pickup allegedly rear-ended the tractor, which Mosher rode. Both vehicles went down into a ditch and it resulted in Mosher's death. According to E! Online, the authorities arrested him after he allegedly fled from the scene of the crime without waiting for them to arrive.

Soon after catching up, they asked for a $10,000 bail and an arraignment which he complied. Meanwhile, a hearing will soon take place in time for the investigation.

The police are now investigating if he was under the influence at the time of the incident. It was not surprising that they are now looking for certain scenarios.

Does The Show Knew About Chris Soules And His Past Criminal Record?

The former "The Bachelor" star, Soules had several offenses. It was said that he got it before he joined the show and entered the entertainment industry. Starting for 1998 until 2012, his cases mostly involve vehicular accidents - including speeding and DUIs.

Fans and several outlets are now speculating if the reality show knew about his criminal records prior to adding him in the show. A source also said that the contents undergo a series of rigorous tests to know if they are physical, emotionally, and mentally ready to join the series. However, the chosen cast members are kept in the dark about each other's personal details.

According to the insider, they will only have the chance to learn more about one another during the special events, such as hometown dates and fantasy suite dates. Another source, on the other hand, only had some good words for Soules. The said person expressed his sadness towards Soules and the incident.

"Had Chris had a violent past, and ABC did not disclose that information, then it would have been a different situation." the source told ET Online. "Chris Soules is nothing but a sweet, loving and gentle person and what happened is a terrible accident."
