'Girlboss' Spoilers: Britt Robertson Is Sophia Amoruso And More Updates

"Girlboss" is an upcoming comedy series, which will debut on Apr. 21, 2017 -  with Britt Robertson as the lead protagonist. Read on for more details about "Girlboss."

"Pitch Perfect" writer, Kay Cannon adapted the series from Sophia Amoruso's autobiography book. Aside from them, "Mad Max" actress, Charlize Theron will produce the show. They will join Laverne McKinnon, Beth Kono, and Christian Ditter.

"Girlboss" Plot

According to the synopsis from Netflix, "Girlboss" features Sophia Amoruso's struggles in life as a young woman. It was before she built her own fashion empire.

Sophia is a broke fashionista who loved vintage clothes. She and her best friend, Annie accidentally found their passion for selling them online. Though their efforts, the retail store Nasty Gal Vintage was born.

EW reported that the streaming service released a brand new teaser for the upcoming original show. In the said clip, Sophia showcased her knowledge in thrifting the good stuff. She even suggested that the owner should know his merchandise.

However, it is not all golden for Sophia. Her bad deeds will then caught up with the booming business.

She may have lost her spot on eBay. But did not dampen her spirits and the rest was history.

"Girlboss" Cast Update, Release Date

Britt Robertson stars as the fictional version of Sophia in her first-ever Netflix project. Her recent TV credits include "Casual" and "Under the Dome." This year, the 25-year-old appeared in "The Space Between Us" and "A Dog's Purpose."

Throughout the series, Sophia will meet a lot of interesting people. Johnny Simmons ("The Late Bloomer") plays the role of Shane.

Shane is the manager and drummer, who feels smitten with Sophia. Ellie Reed and Alphonso McAuley join the cast to play as Sophia's friends.

Netflix will air all the episodes of "Girlboss" Season 1. It will debut on Apr. 21, 2017. Stay tuned for more updates.
