"Attack on Titan" Season 2 To Air On Toonami

Due to its success, season 2 will be streamed in various platforms. Some of which are
Crunchyroll, Funimation, Australia's Anime Lab, and Hulu. Toonami, on the other hand, will have a later air date for the successful animated series.

According to IGN, Toonami will air the episodes of "Attack on Titan" Season 2 starting Apr. 29, 2017. The anime streaming site confirmed the news through co-creator, Jason DeMarco. They also released a teaser during the premiere of "Rick and Morty" Season 3.

Lesser Episodes For Season 2

Wit Studio adapted the series from the best-selling manga from Hajime Isayama. Meanwhile, there is buzz brewing over to the short run of season 2. It only has 12 episodes, which is just half of the first season.

Polygon wrote that the studio has not released a statement on this huge change in the episode numbers. Compared to the last season, the series had 21 episodes with few OVAs as well. Thomas Romain, who worked for several huge projects in the animation industry, shared his thoughts on this.

According to Romain, it all boils down to the production and budget. He pointed out the grave effect of having a shortage of funds and workers. Romain added that this will only place difficulty in producing makes it incredibly difficult to make more projects in a short time.

"Attack on Titan" Season 2 Episode 1 Spoilers

The first episode of the second season will pick up after the events of the last arc. The Survey Corp just learned about the titans inside the very wall that protects the citizens from them. It also marked the appearance of the Beast Titan.
