China's Xiaomi released a new pair of smart shoes under its Mijia Brand. The Xiaomi 90 Minutes Ultra Smart footwear is the first of its kind because it is the first version of the smart shoes to entail the Intel Curie.

The Intel Curie is a small sized chipset that will record real-time fitness data during workouts or other activities. It will be sold through the Mijia crowd funding platform. The first batch is set to be released for sale starting from April 15.

The new smart shoes have mainly be designed and structured to suit the need of professional runners. It was developed and designed by Shanghai Run Tech Company.

This Xiaomi smart shoe utilizes a foam like material to provide the wearer with extra coziness, according to Digital Trends. The sole of the smart shoe comes with an extra arch support and anti-skid wear. The additional arch support is ideal to enhance the balance of the wearer.

Vital Features:

The foam that is built into the shoe provides a cushioning effect to the runner/athlete when their foot hits the ground. The insole of the smart shoe has an air cushion and is removable.

The intelligent Intel chip has been designed to record data. The chips have been designed to detect when the athlete/runner starts walking, running or climbing. When the Intel chip is fully charged, it can last for two full months.

Color Options:

The Xiaomi 90 minutes Ultra Smart footwear can be found in three different colors, such as black, surf blue and pink. There is an extra feature of the shoes that comes with a luminous material. 

The special blu edition has been designed in a way that it will reflect when motorist lights shine on the shoe. This is ideal during the night time as the blue version glows in the dark. This is a safer option for those users who like running during the evening hours, according to Tech Worm.

Xiaomi has provided a unique device that can be used in fitness tracking. Other previous Xiaomi fitness tracking devices include the MI fitness band series. 

On the other hand, Xiaomi does not only provide fitness tracking shoes. It is a company well-known for its low-cost smartphones. Recently it has started expanding its portfolio and it launched the Scishare Coffee Machine as well.
