Microsoft is expected to launch a new Windows 10 smartphone this year. Also, they are reportedly coming out with the Surface Phone in 2019.

Details On The New Smartphone

The new Windows Phone is expected to be a general smartphone, which will run on Windows 10, according to First Post. Reports are abound that the new Windows device is scheduled to be released at the end of 2017.

Also, sources concluded that the new phone to be released this year will not support the use of Win32 Windows Store apps. Consequently, it will not also run on the Windows 10 ARM version.

Updates On The Surface Phone 

Moreover, the new Microsoft Surface Phone will come in three different types of variants, according to Windows Report. The variants will be Business Edition, Enthusiast Edition, and Consumer Edition. It is still not confirmed if the design between the three options will be different, but the specifications will not be the same.

With three variants of the Surface Phone expected, one may think that it will come in three different screen sizes. However, leaks proposed that all three separate modifications will have a display of 5.7 inches. The form of storage and memory will be distinct in each of the variants.

Furthermore, the new product will probably run on the Qualcomm's ARM platform, which provides powerful and quite efficient. Anticipating fans should expect to have the full Windows 10 experience, including the top favorite Microsoft apps.

On the other hand, the Surface Phone with ARM compatibility will reportedly be coming to the market in the year 2019. Microsoft decided not to make any comments on any announcement related to the new Surface Phone during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona last Feb.

Meanwhile, there are also reports that the new Surface Phone will come with an all-metallic design, so as to bring it in line with the Surface Book. It is expected to have the same finish similar to other Microsoft Surface series.
