Microsoft is sparing no efforts to make its upcoming flagship device Surface Pro 5 as technologically advanced as possible. In fact, in terms of technical capabilities and features, it is expected to beat Apple iPad Pro.

Meet The Surface Pro 5

The upcoming Surface Pro 5 is reportedly going to have a unique graphics processor, along with a 4K display screen, which can be removed as well, according to Droid Report. It will appeal to hardcore gamers because of the screen clarity and the powerful graphics processor.

The Stylus is another feature that will get an immense improvement. It is because, in early 2016, Microsoft patented their rechargeable Surface Pen and dock. The current Surface Pen's removable battery will be replaced with a rechargeable unit.

Moreover, another feature that will see an enhancement is the performance of the new Surface Pro 5. It is expected to come with the new Intel processor known as Kaby Lake, and it will have a 16GB RAM, which will make it performance intensive.

Other Specs And Features

The device is also going to come with USB-C capabilities. With these new features; the new Surface Pro is expected to cost similar to the Surface Pro 4, starting from $750 and will go up to $1,200 for the various models.

When Is The Release Date?

However, all these enhancements have come at a great cost for the Redmond-based company. Microsoft had to postpone the launch of Surface Pro 5 numerous times in order to accommodate these features.

Microsoft had launched the Surface Pro 4 in Oct. 2015, hence, Oct. 2016 seemed to be the ideal time for the possible release of the new model. However, the Surface Pro 5 was not released in its Oct. Windows event. The new Surface Pro 5 is expected to be released in Apr. 2017 with the new Windows 10 update, according to Digital Trends. 

The latest Windows Update is going to be a significant one since the Windows 7. The new update of Windows 10 is supposed to have better and improved features, including improved privacy settings, a new special game mode, safe web browsing and other cool features. The new Surface Pro 5 launch is expected to be released with latest Window update.
