"Aquaman" is one of the most anticipated DC movies this year and it appears Amber Heard is just preparing to be at her best for the film. Johnny Depp's ex-wife recently teased fans of her rigorous training for her role as Queen Mera. The highly-anticipated DC film is pulling all the big stops with Jason Momoa's rigorous training for his first ever big-budget role.

In four months time, Momoa will be ready to start production for "Aquaman." As such, Momoa's co-star Amber Heard is also upping her game for the film, teasing her Queen Mera training, according to Screen Rant. A video of Heard's training surfaced online, giving fans a sneak peek into her preparations for the film. The owner and editor-in-chief of SMTV Reports shared the video on his Twitter account on Sunday, showing Amber Heard in training for her role as Queen Mera in "Aquaman."

The short clip shows what kind of training Heard is in for her role as Queen Mera, which apparently includes a fair share of hand-to-hand combat. She is seen throwing a series of playful jabs towards the camera before walking away with a satisfied grin. The video surfaced online two weeks after Heard posted an Instagram photo with her make-up artist for "Aquaman."

Amber Heard's training reportedly took place at the 87Eleven Action Design Studio, the same place where Jason Momoa is also training for his titular role in "Aquaman." The said studio is described as a premiere action design and fight choreography team, which performed action stunts for "John Wick," "The Hunger Games" and "Jurassic World." That being said, Heard and Momoa's training should translate to excellent stunts in "Aquaman."

The lukewarm reception of previous films like "Suicide Squad" and "Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice" should be a great lesson for Warner Brothers not to make the same mistake again. However, many fans believe that "Aquaman" should have great potential given the movie's cast and crew. "Aquaman" is slated to be released on October 5, 2018.
