Star Trek Documentary: What Is It About?

"What We Left Behind" is a documentary film about "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine", which is campaigned by Indiegogo. The project has gone through the original $150,000 target and is on its way towards $200,000. Behr is teaming up with Nimoy, as Indiegogo brings up the original cast of the show - Nana Vistor (Major Kira), Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax), Rene Auberjonois (Odo), Armin Shimerman (Quark), Alexander Siddig (Dr. Bashir), Colm Meaney (Chief O'Brian), Michael Dorn (Worf), and some other notable characters. However, the lead actor - Avery Brooks (Captain Benjamin Sisko) didn't sign for the project, as per The Verge.

Star Trek Documentary: Other Details

The project will also be having the original writers of the show, including Ronald D. Moore, Rene Echevarria and Hans Beimler to plot out the story as to how the supposed 8th season might have looked like. "What We Left Behind" is unofficial yet, therefore, the funds from Indiegogo will go on the licensing of the footage and images of the show from CBS, along with the production and interview fees.

"Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (DS9) was shot back January 1993. "DS9" is recognized to have been dark, moody, and static among the Star Trek family. The documentary dives deep to the past as to why DS9 "went from a family outcast to a Star Trek mainstay".

The show is expected to release on February 2018. Make others know about this project by following it on Facebook and Twitter with a tag - @DS9Doc or #DS9Doc. Keep posted for more updates on your favorite films!
