Niantic has been busy spreading the “Pokemon Go” love, extending a helping hand to “Global Goals”. The initiative was part of the AR company’s partnership with Project Everyone and raise awareness happening at the World Economic Forum. There are 17 Global Goals for Sustainable Development being pushed, something Niantic will preach in the form of PokeStops and/or Pokemon gyms.

Much of this was mentioned in a previous post, using “Pokemon Go” as an eco-friendly tool for the “Global Goals”. Last week, “Pokemon Go” suffered some server issues with the reason behind it unknown. Niantic was quick on its feet with a fix and the problem was resolved swiftly, Game Spot reported. With that settled, we move on to the next big update for the AR game reportedly set for March.

A new patch for “Pokemon Go” is expected to come out soon and Forbes suggests that this would be perfect if made by the first day of Spring. Checking calendars, the suggested date points to Mar 21, 2017. Assuming that their call does materialize, critics believe that Niantic best offers something more than a ton of monsters up for grabs.

Like last year, most are hoping to get new features. The in-game tracking for “Pokemon Go” has already been fixed though the alleged Pokemon duels and trading have yet to come into play. Much of this was believed to be present by now but no update has come out. Niantic did come out with a minor update recently, mostly tied up to the Pokemon Eggs. This includes enhanced text files and improved interface with smart watches, displaying Pokemon Eggs obtained from PokeStops, Slash Gear reported.

Moving ahead of the alleged March update, Easter is seen as the new big event for “Pokemon Go” players. There have been artsy suggestions that would render uniquely designed eggs though such remains to be seen. Other than that, most are hoping to see another generous haul similar to the Halloween and Christmas events. Will Niantic oblige?
