"Girl Meets World" cancellation may have devastated fans but life goes on for stars Rowan Blanchard and Sabrina Carpenter. While the creators are still looking for a new home after Disney Channel announced its cancellation, fans are still following the Blanchard and Carpenter in their separate endeavors.

"Girl Meets World" team is currently on the lookout for another network to continue the spinoff series. While many fans were pining for Netflix to pick up the series, The Wrap exclusively reported that the network refused to air new episodes of the "Boy Meets World" spinoff series. "Girl Meets World" was canceled on January 9, immediately sparking a backlash from many fans. Fans and cast were also doing online campaigns, calling for other networks like Netflix to pick up the series. Now, the fans are one-less options to consider.

In an interview with Deadline, Michael Jacobs talks about writing the last episode with the ending in mind. He revealed that several ending for "Girl Meets World" have been made along the way, sharing that the finale episode of season 2 was also made like it was already the end. Although season 3 is the ultimate ending for the spinoff series, he hopes that he left enough space for another network to continue Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya's (Sabrina Carpenter) story. He remains positive that the show will find another home despite Netflix's refusal.

As for the young "Girl Meets World" stars, Rowan Blanchard recently wrapped up filming "A World Away," Teen Vogue reported. The film is being directed by the actress' father Mark Blanchard, with her siblings Shane and Carmen acting alongside her. She'll also be doing big projects like Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time," which is slated to come out in 2018. Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter has focused more on music, with a second album released last year.

As of now, there are no comments from Disney or Netflix as Michael Jacobs looks for another home for his series. Do you think Disney Channel shouldn't have canceled the series?
