Wilson Fisk may have only appeared in a few episodes in "Daredevil" Season 2, but Vincent D'Onofrio's performance as the Marvel villain towered over the Netflix series. So is it possible that Kingpin will return in "Daredevil" Season 3? D'Onofrio certainly knows the answer to the mystery.

Although Kingpin was introduced in the Netflix series, there are still speculations that Wilson Fisk will cross over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe films. Vincent D'Onofrio has just spoken up about the possibility of his Marvel villain will show up in the future MCU flicks after "Daredevil" Season 3.

Vincent D'Onofrio recently sat down with Digital Spy, where he discussed Wilson Fisk's future in "Daredevil" Season 3. Or chose not to. D'Onofrio joked that there is "a chip in my head" that prevents him from discussing Kingpin's return in the Netflix series. Nevertheless, fans concluded that this probably means the Marvel villain will be back to terrorize Matt Murdock.

But what about the possibility that Wilson Fisk is taking the big leap into MCU? Vincent D'Onofrio admitted that he is interested to "switch over to the movies" but also stated that "it's not going to happen" since the films are "jam-packed" with new characters. However, that doesn't mean that fans should rule out the "Daredevil" Season 3 character from future MCU films just yet. D'Onofrio teased that Kingpin's big move is still possible, but "not for a long, long time."

Fans will need to wait a little bit longer to find out if Wilson Fisk will return in "Daredevil" Season 3, since the series is not expected to air on Netflix until 2018. In the meantime, TheWrap confirms that Vincent D'Onofrio will portray Frank Morgan a.k.a the Wizard of Oz in the NBC show "Emerald City".
