Apple is now planning on entering the world of TV by making their own original set of shows and series just like Netflix and HBO. Apple is finally getting serious about all this plan is looking into buying scripted TV series that could be at par with "Westworld" and "Stranger Things."

Apple is serious about creating its own line of TV series and shows according to The Wall Street Journal. The giant tech company is now looking into buying scripted TV, particularly one that can be compared to HBO and Netflix's original creations. The TV series will then be bundled with Apple Music's monthly subscription service. This is the company's strategy to move further ahead of Spotify, which offers the same set of music as Apple does but with better interface and recommendations, The Verge noted.

Apple's decision to add TV series on their Apple Music service may be an effective way of making the service stand out. It may veer away from the core focus of the service but it is a good added service that may actually work. It should be noted, however, that Apple is not looking into competing against Netflix, Amazon or let alone cable TV.

Apple line of TV series is expected to launch at the end of the year though this may be a bit quick to launch its own set of shows. Apple is currently working on the scripted Dr. Dre series that he exclusively produced last year. This could be released within this year but the original content may take a little more time. Right now, Apple is in talks over some shows but remains undecided on buying movies.

It appears that the company doesn't have a solid business strategy when it comes to original content. Though Apple sounds tentative and uncertain in its efforts to create original content, there should be concrete news about this venture in the coming months ahead.
