The recent "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story" opened a lot of doors about the connection of every "Star Wars" tale. In fact, it has established a link to the animated series giving Easter eggs and revealing borrowed characters from "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels."

One of the most distinct characters seen in "Rouge One: A Star Wars Story" is Saw Gerrera. In the film, he was portrayed by Forest Whitaker; his younger version, on the other hand, appeared in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars." Now, the leading member of the Onderon rebels is going to be seen in "Star Wars Rebels."

Saw was first seen in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" Season 5 Episode 2 "A War on Two Fronts." This was only the first chapter of the four-part storyline that featured the resistance fighter along with his sister, Steela Gerrera. They have led the Onderon rebels against the Confederacy of Independent Systems with the help of Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker and his padawan, Ahsoka Tano. Now, he is set to appear in "Star Wars Rebels."

However, Saw's stint in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" was kind of bittersweet, Collider reported. But this helped his character to be on his own path, making his role mark in the "Star Wars" series. Since his adventure will start rolling in "Star Wars Rebels," fans have to wait and see how he will continue his quest. As matter of fact, a new teaser promo for the arrival of Saw in "Star Wars Rebels" is already revealed.

Titled "Ghosts of Geonosis," the 11th episode of the animated series' season three will be a special two-part chapter. According to Slash Film, the Ghost crew will be sent on a mission to search for the rebel leader, but they will find themselves in a quite big problem. "Star Wars Rebels" Season 3 Episode 11 "Ghosts of Geonosis" returns on Jan. 7 on Disney XD at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.
