One of the key characters of "The Walking Dead" has been recently cast to star in another TV show. Usually, good casting news for one TV series means bad casting news elsewhere.

The Walking Dead Season 7B. It seems that The Walking Dead may be losing one of their series regulars soon. Sonequa Martin-Green, who plays Sasha Williams on the AMC series, has just been cast in another TV series.

Sasha Williams first appeared in season 3 of the zombie series. She has no direct counterpart in The Walking Dead graphic novel, which is the basis of the TV series.

Since her introduction, she became a pivotal character in the show's story and has quickly become a fan favorite. However, with the new Star Trek announcement and recent developments with her character, it looks like she may not make it to the next season.

Sources have confirmed that she has landed the lead role on CBS All Access' upcoming Star Trek series, "Star Trek: Discovery". This is big news for Trekkies everywhere as this will be the first Star Trek series in more than a decade.

Official representatives from CBS have declined to comment. However, according to EW, she "will continue to serve as a series regular on AMC's zombie drama."

Star Trek: Discovery. The show is set to premiere in May 2017 on the CBS broadcast network. Subsequent episodes of the series will only be available in the US on CBS All Access.

Martin-Green's character will be a lieutenant-commander, whose name has not yet been disclosed. However, it has been confirmed that she was cast for the lead role when former showrunner of the series Bryan Fuller indicated that they will be casting a woman of color in the lead role.

The show's setting is 10 years before the events of the Star Trek: The Original Series. This will be the first Star Trek TV series since Star Trek: Enterprise ended in 2005.
