"Assasin's Creed" took a direct hit as a bad movie rendition of the popular video game. Critics also claimed that although Hollywood heavyweights such as Marion Cotillard and Michael Fassbender were the heralds of the film, it was poorly ranked in Rotten Tomatoes despite the release of the trailer. What was wrong with the movie?

Although movie renditions of high-grossing video games have received negative feedback almost all the time, fans were hoping to get a better review for the upcoming "Assassin's Creed," particularly because it casted A-listers Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.

However, as reported by Forbes, despite the movie not being released yet, critics have begun giving negative feedback. The source also indicated that no matter the budget and cast members for "Assassin's Creed", the movie will still receive the video game movie curse.

Stephanie Zacharek of Time contended that the movie is quite confusing while Lindsay Bahr of AP claimed that the real mystery the movie faced was how the production team could overshadow the expectations of the gamers. In fact, Scott Mendelson of Forbes claimed that the movie does not have the length to tell the real story behind why "Assassin's Creed" game is such a hit.

In other news, CBC claimed that the movie curse had a lot to do with how a movie rendition would capture the worst and best things of a video game in one sitting. The heavy plotting of the film also confused the games and would likewise confuse the viewers who had not played the game yet. In a cinematic take, the whole movie was said to be a whirlwind of stories that the audience may not get to the end of it.
