The fame of villains Harley Quinn and Deadshot was not anticipated since the release of "Suicide Squad." Because of this circumstance, talks had emanated that Deadshot, played by Will Smith, may have his own standalone film. If Warner Bros. would push through with the idea, Floy Lawton's version of a Batman villain will open doors to more stories. Have the villains overpowered the superheroes in the DC Comics cinematic universe?

First, there were talks about a possible "Suicide Squad 2." Next, recent reports flourished that one of the villains for the franchise, "Deadshot, may have a standalone film. Since Warner Bros. lit up the go sign for "Gotham City Sirens," a movie that would revolve around the villains of the Batman Universe such as Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman, a standalone film for Deadshot was deemed a short shot, reported Den of Geek.

It was also rumored that if the standalone film would push through, it would be R-rated like that of "Deadpool" and "Logan." Although the two mentioned movies are part of the Marvel Comics Cinematic Universe, Deadshot standalone movie may be the competition of these blockbuster hits as an R-rated film by DC Comics Cinematic Universe. Also, the storyline of Deadshot was also considered as a good story for the fans.

Deadshot, Generally

Deadshot, also known as Floyd Lawton, was depicted as one of the heroes in the recently released film "Suicide Squad." To redeem his reputation in the eyes of his daughter, Deadshot was on a mission to help the good guys for the benefit of Gotham City. However, the significance of the character revolved around his hatred for Batman which may be the source of the standalone movie's plot, reported Cinema Blend.

With "Gotham City Sirens" coming to theaters, will Deadshot standalone film be a possibility as well?
