NBA Trade Rumors: Are Chicago Bulls Trading Jimmy Butler For Timberwolves' Two Youngsters Wiggins And LaVine?

It looks the Chicago Bulls are ready to undertake as many changes as possible to make a return to the NBA playoffs. According to latest trade rumors, the Bulls, who are placed fifth in the Eastern Conference at the moment with five wins and four losses, may make a deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.

According to a report published in Ecumenical News, the Bulls might swap Jimmy Butler and Jerian Grant with the Timberwolves' Andrew Wiggins and Zach LaVine. It essentially means the Bulls are eyeing to trade their all-star player for two young guns aged 21. The Timberwolves are doing even worse as they are ranked 13th in the Western Conference now with just two wins and five losses. A trade is believed to solve some of their concerns that are pegging them back, feels Ernest Shepard of the Inquisitr.

According to the Ecumenical News report, not many are convinced if such a trade really materializes. It won't help the Timberwolves especially for they believe sacrificing two youngsters with potential for Butler, despite his explosive scoring ability, isn't a great idea. For the Bulls, however, it would be a better call as it would help them lay the foundation for the future.

Some can yet feel that Butler pairing with the talented Karl-Anthony Towns would give the Timberwolves a much-needed boost required at the moment though. Also, the fact that the Timberwolves' head coach Tom Thibodeau is not in favor of fielding young players and his familiarity with Butler since he was a coach of the Bulls before taking over the charge of the Timberwolves this year makes the rumor look all the more realistic. But will the Timberwolves management really like to part ways with two talented youngsters together?

At the moment, both Wiggins and La Vine are averaging 20 points per game, said the Fox Sports statistics.

If this trade rumor proves to be true, it would be similar to the deal that was rumored to have happened on the day of the NBA draft. According to a SB Nation report, the Bulls had almost traded Butler for the Timberwolves' Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine.

Both the Bulls and Timberwolves will play their next match on Saturday (Nov 12).
