It was a return to his 'home' and Chicago Bulls' Dwayne Wade was not let down by his 'family'. In his first game against the Miami Heat, with who he was attached for 13 seasons and formed the Big Three with LeBron James and Chris Bosh once, Wade received standing ovations from the spectators a number of times which showed how much special he still is for the supporters of the team he left this July. This was his first game against the Heat after leaving it.

Wade, who had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the game that saw a 98-95 victory for the visitors at the American Airlines Arena on Thursday (Nov 10) night, was cool and humble, though.

"Worst basketball game I ever played in my life. I couldn't wait until it was over. It's just weird. You're going against guys -- it just seemed like we were just playing in the playoffs together," Wade later said with a chuckle.

The 34-year-old did not forget to acknowledge the love he received from the home team. After the standing ovation which followed playing of a video in his honor, Wade went to the floor and blew kisses to the spectators. The gesture was reciprocated with "D-Wade! D-Wade!"

The star player, who is known to be involved with many philanthropic initiatives, appreciated the fans and the environment in which the game was played. "I appreciate the ovation, the cheers. The things that they were saying," he said. He met his former teammates and the Heat officials after the game and agreed that it was indeed an emotional moment for him after the game concluded.

Wade also made a generous remark about his former team saying he would like to see the Heat succeed, but not when the Bulls play them.

"I want them to be right behind us in the playoffs," Wade said, according to a report in the Chicago Tribune. Wade even parked his car in the visitors' parking after driving to the venue from his home for the NBA game.

The Bulls are currently placed fifth in the Eastern Conference table with five wins and four losses while the Heat are languishing at 13 with just two wins and five losses.
