Google To Compete Microsoft’s Surface Hub With Jamboard

The search Giant, Google launched a digital whiteboard named Jamboard on October 25, 2016. Since its release, the speculations suggest that it is a take down on Microsoft's Surface Hub. The primary reason for such news is the similar looks. Jamboard is primarily a white board with all the high end and latest technology. It is a smartboard for the digital era.

Jamboard - The Concept

The basic idea of such a technology is to reform the old age boards with features making it a viable tool. The concept is to make the three essential elements of a meeting i.e. drawing, talking and sharing easy.

Such board aids in easy exchange of information in real-time and creating plans without limitations. It helps in a spontaneous demonstration using graphs and charts and 360 degrees depiction of images and objects. Moreover, the whiteboard has the cloud facility.

The Microsoft built Surface Hub first of its kind was launched in 2015. It provides digital white board along with video conferencing capability. It has a sleek profile and appears as a television or a large tablet.

Display: Jamboard has 55 inches with the 4K digital display. The revolutionary display supports nearly 16 simultaneous touch inputs whereas surface hub withstands 100 touch inputs. Similar to basic classroom boards it has a stylus and an eraser.

Price:The cost is one big factor to notice. The price of Jamboard is below $6,000 whereas the Surface Hub is comparatively expensive. It costs around $8999

Launch: Although the introduction for the Jamboard is official now, it will roll out in the market in the initial months of 2017.

Jamboard - The Gist

Google's recent product in the line is Jamboard. It is similar in the concept and said to give a tough challenge to the existing Surface Hub. Although, it has not come to the market yet, but the comparison between the two has already begun.
