A 52-year-old Colombian poet is so desperate to go to Europe he'll give up his left, and right, testicle- that is for the lump sum of $20,000.

Rafael Medina Brochero said that he'll use the money he gets from auctioning off his genitalia to fund his upcoming European tour "Poetry for Peace in Colombia," according to ColombiaReports.com.

While Brochero did not say whether the $20,000 would also cover the surgery to remove his testicles, he reportedly told a local radio station that the testes could be transplanted into the body of a sterile man or be used to make soup, according to Gawker.

He said he decided to auction off his testicles because he doesn't want to repeat an experience he had last year when he ran out of cash during a South American tour and had to pawn his wedding ring, according to TheNewAge.co.za.
