Drew Barrymore has prepared to become a better version of herself. The former child star improved her figure by adopting a unique diet and fitness workout regime. Check out the details below.

Barrymore, who starred in blockbuster movies such as "50 First Dates" and "Charlie's Angels," has landed the lead spot in "Santa Clarita Diet." This is her latest role on TV after dabbling in various guest starring stints. Since her appearance on the show, one of the most prominent changes that people saw is her new and upgraded physique.

Drew Barrymore's Fitness Workout

A fitness trainer who worked with the 42-year-old actress revealed her secret in achieving her smashing body. In her interview with Health.com, Becky Anderson said that Barrymore used to attend fitness classes at the New York-city based studio, ATK.

Barrymore wanted to focus on certain areas in her upper body. Her trainer then suggested that she use the triceps blaster to sculpt her arms. It actually worked some magic on the Hollywood star.

According to Anderson, the Drew Barrymore workout routine aims to give out a leaner and toned result without actually bulking up. She added that the recommended execution of the exercise is doing it for at least three to four times a week.

Drew Barrymore Spring Clean Diet

Any successful fitness regime will not be complete without a diet, which can further help with overall progress. For celebrities like Drew Barrymore, going on a spring diet is the way to go.

Food service business Kooshi Gourmet and health consultation company Beverly Hills Kitchen Coach shared what they know about the diet that Hollywood stars swear by. Le Cordon Bleu-trained couple, Albert and Amanda Melera established the Kooshi Gourmet. Meanwhile, Sarah Mirkin, a registered dietician founded the Beverly Hills Kitchen Coach.

"Deprivation diets don't work in the long run. Once people learn to eat to nourish and fuel their bodies, they don't feel hungry and that's when they see results." Kitchen Coach said.

Both of them talked about the preferred food choice that one must follow. Aside from Barrymore, some of their celebrity clients are Bill Gates, Salma Hayek, and Jennifer Aniston among others. Check out the full list of do's and don'ts for  Barrymore's spring diet on The Hollywood Reporter.

Hollywood actress Drew Barrymore will reprise her role as the undead real estate agent in "Santa Clarita Diet" Season 2. It will possibly return in 2018 on Netflix. In the meantime, watch the workout parody clip that she worked on "Saturday Night Live" few years ago.
