Update Date: Apr 15, 2017 11:40 PM EDT

Veganism is the practice of abstaining and avoidance of animal meat products particularly in one's diet. Vegans choose not to consume dairy like eggs and any other food products from animal origin in addition to not eating meat like the vegetarians, the Vegan Society  explains.

Below are three of the best cities around the world for vagens who are looking for the haven of diet preference and goals, as suggested by the CNN and PETA

1. Los Angeles

The City of Angels lists regional vegan and vegan-friendly eaters and events compared to any other city in the United States. A vegan restaurant called Crossroads serves mouthwatering dishes prepared by celebrity chef Tal Ronnen.

It would take a very long time to mention all the vegan-friendly restos around he city so research should be done for the best vegan option in L.A.

2. Portland, Oregon

Many vegans around the world would agree that Portland is America's number one Vegan-Friendly City, as awarded by PETA- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals in 2016.

The city has everything from fine dining bars, to a tattoo shop, vegan grocery stores, and even vegan strip clubs, Kristin Lajeunesse, a food blogger of the Travel For Vegan said.

3. New York City

Carmen Surana, The Cinnamon Snail's catering manager said that New York is truly the heart of the vegan scene in the East Coast.

New York City has some of the most trendy vegan-friendly restaurants and spots in the world.

Vegan enthusiasts urge those who would like to try out the wonders of sticking to a greeny diet and take into research one's curiosity and questions. Since there are a lot of vegan-friendly cities around the world, one must not limit to those only suggested by the internet. According to the Vegan Society, one must go out and explore.
