"The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5 is yet to receive official confirmation from the History Channel. Although reports indicated that the Lagina brothers are ready to continue for another season, nothing about the show's fifth installment is confirmed yet. 

"The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5 renewal hopes are high, as the last episode of the previous season recorded massive viewership. Even the creator of the series, Kevin Burns said that the show will return for the fifth season, reports Latin Post. But there is no official confirmation from History channel, which has been airing the series since the start.

The show focuses on the Lagina brothers - Marty and Rick from Kingsford, Michigan. The last four seasons showed the two putting all their efforts to find out the 200-year-old treasure or the historical artifacts that have been supposedly buried in the cursed "Oak Island."

Until now, they have not managed to achieve a major breakthrough, which is why both the channel and the Lagina brothers were unsure of continuing "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5." Apart from not receiving much success during the treasure hunting, the Lagina brothers are also suffering from homesickness. That is why previously they refused to be a part of the fifth installment.

However, latest reports suggested that the brothers have agreed to continue for one more season. Hence the possibilities of "The Curse of Oak Island" Season 5 are very high.

There is a mystery about this treasure that is supposed to have a curse and only a death can make one discover it. Recently, Drake, a teenager son of the producer of the show, Craig Tester died, reports Travelers Today. Fans believe that his unexpected death is related to the treasure and now the curse may get lifted.
