According to People, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have now filed for divorce, almost two years after announcing their separation. Incidentally, both the stars filed the documents together as they both want their children's joint physical and legal custody. However, they are yet to decide upon several important factors, such as division of property, date of separation, and spousal support.

Separation Date May Affect Ben Affleck And Jennifer Garner Settlement

The source said that the former couple filed paperwork related to "in propria persona," which indicates without an on-the-record attorney. Both of them have decided that they will keep the earnings they got since their date of separation. Hence, legal experts are of the opinion that their date of separation will be an important factor in deciding their settlement.
