"The Voice" coach, in her statement after receiving the award said that it is an honor to be recognized especially as an activist and a woman in this world who wants to identify injustice, unfairness, and inequality in the world. Alicia Keys has long been fighting against AIDS/HIV in children across the world.

The singer has also co-founded an organization called, "Keep a Child Alive," which is dedicated to the cause. Keys has been an aggressive speaker against the refugee crisis, criminal justice reform, as well as gun violence. At the awards ceremony, the singer said that she feels encouraged to speak against injustice and use her platform for the issues that matter the most to her.

According to Us Weekly,  Alicia Keys and her fans are both convinced that the singer will win "The Voice" Season 12. It is only her second season with the NBC show but she really has gathered a lot of fan following.

In the previous episode of the show, Keys did not hide the fact that she is very much confident with winning the competition this year. She even challenged her opponents and esteemed judges, including Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, and Adam Levine.
