It is unlikely that "Prison Break" star, Wentworth Miller and the rest of the cast will appear on the show again after the end of Season 5. Meanwhile, whether Sofia (Danay Garcia) will reprise her role in the revival or not is also uncertain.

"Prison Break" Season 5 Creator Is Out Of Ideas?

Paul Scheuring, creator of "Prison Break" said that his ideas are exhausted and only a new writer will be able to drag the show beyond season 5. The Sun reported via Collider that he will not be able to narrate another story involving the same group of people.

He added, "Maybe someone else can, or by accident, I'll somehow, possibly, dream up another prison escape that's new and fresh, but I would bet against it."

Moreover, Scheuring feels that the "product has to be worthwhile." So, until the time either he or somebody else is able to present something, which is worthwhile for the show's viewers, they have to bid their farewell to these people. When the show is worthwhile, then only viewers would love to watch it again in the next year.

Meanwhile, the plot in season 5 has moved over to the Middle East (which is beeeing shown as Yemen), where Michael (Wentworth Miller) has been jailed after his association with an ISIS-style terrorist outfit.

The prison break for Wentworth Miller's character will find Lincoln, his brother coming to help him. The trailer for season 5 features some key action sequences, along with an interesting escape plot that is linked to the government's collapse.

Some spoilers are also teasing that Lincoln may pass away while trying to rescue his brother. He had to get associated with some dangerous organizations. The show's writers have indicated that episode 8 will make viewers "weep together."

"Prison Break" Season 5: Sofia's Return Is Uncertain

One of the show's key characters has not shown up yet. In season 4 Sofia (Danay Garcia) started dating Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).

But it is not known whether the character will reprise her role in the new season, TV Guide reported. Garcia, however, said she is not averse to the idea of returning in case there is another season.

Fans of Wentworth Miller can see him and the rest of the cast when "Prison Break" Season 5 premieres in the United Kingdom at 9 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 10 on FOX UK.
