"Stranger Things" Season 2 Updates: Synopsis And Trailer

For many viewers, "Stranger Things" Season 2 is one of the most awaited shows of the year. Though the first trailer for the new season was out approximately a couple of months ago, there are lots of discussions on how the story line will shape up for the upcoming season.

Fans are wondering about the fate of their favorite characters in season 2. The first trailer for the series was dropped during the Super Bowl.

It was quite a big surprise for the show's viewers, as the glimpses in it were quite intriguing. Show creators, Ross and Matt Duffer are ensuring that fans will feel nostalgic, as they showed the lead child artistes appear in Ghostbusters outfits, The Independent reported.

Netflix also shared a special reveal teaser, which consisted of the titles of all the nine episodes for season 2. The official synopsis of the forthcoming season is as follows:

"A year after Will's return, everything seems back to normal....but a darkness lurks just beneath the surface, threatening all of Hawkins."

"Stranger Things" Season 2: More Of The Upside Down World

According to reports, there is a possibility that the new season will showcase more of the Upside Down world, due to Will's link to it. Moreover, the teaser for season 2 had an intent-title, "The world has turned upside down." This could mean that Will might have brought this world with him when Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) let him get out of it, The Christian Today wrote.

For those who are not aware, the Upside Down world was featured in the first season as well. It was a parallel dimension in a rotten state - where the big bad character of the story, the Demogorgon was discovered and kept the kidnapped victims.

"Stranger Things" Season 2 can be streamed starting Oct. 31 on Netflix.
