Viewers will be pleased to know that filming has been wrapped for "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season 9. Moreover, almost the entire old team will be back in the upcoming season.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season 9: Filming for New Episodes Are Over

It is good to know that shooting has finally been completed for "Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season 9. The news was confirmed on Twitter by actor, Richard Lewis. Lewis who is a regular in the series, posted a photo featuring him and JB Smoove, his co-star and Larry David, the creator of the show.

He described themselves as "two of the funniest comedians I've ever known." The show will be returning to the television screens after a long hiatus of five years, The Independent wrote.

But, not much is known about the story lines of the upcoming episodes as on date. Fans will remember that HBO shared a video featuring Smoove and declaring that filming had commenced last year.

It is reported that when HBO declared the return of the show, David said, "In the immortal words of a Julius Caesar, 'I left I did nothing, I returned.'" HBO is eying for a 2017 premiere date. As things are going smoothly, it seems quite likely that the show will return before the year ends.

It is already confirmed that old gang members, including J.B. Smoove, Susie Essman, Jeff Garlin, Ted Danson, Mary Steenburgen, Richard Lewis, and Cheryl Hines will reprise their roles in the new season. They will be seen as either David's sparring partners or friends, Forward reported.

Meanwhile, David had mentioned that he prefers writing the script before casting an actor for that part. For instance, Ricky Gervais was seen playing himself in season 8.

David had said, "There was a part that I thought he'd be right for, so I offer edit to him." He further added, "We never write anything just to get a person on the show. Fortunately, he was right for this part and it was a great opportunity to work with him and he accepted."

The creator feels that the actor did an excellent job. Though the crew spent most of their times in New York last season, they will be seen returning to Los Angeles this time around.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" Season 9 is expected to premiere this 2017.
