Facebook is one of the most popular social media platforms today. Facebook recently released a new update called Facebook Stories.  

At first, Facebook was just a website. But as smartphones became a trending gadget, Facebook became a downloadable app. 

What Is Facebook Stories?

In its greatest change in a decade, Facebook is emerging from text and link-focused distributing to the visual presentation arrangement. Facebook Stories is the newest feature from Facebook to roll out on the company's main application. These evanescent stories have been rising up on other Facebook-owned apps, such as Instagram and Messenger.

What Is The Difference Between Facebook Stories And The Other Apps?

With Facebook Stories, you can combine filters or masks to your photos or videos. For instance, you can give somebody a unibrow, mustache, sunglasses or shimmer goatee. Or you can edit your videos and make them appear like it was a masterpiece made in the method of a great photographer, according to a report posted by CNET.

Now You Can Do More With Facebook Stories

The update rolling out worldwide was released both on iOS and Android and it has three parts: a redesigned in-app camera, a new feed of temporary stories at the top of the News Feed corner, and a separate messaging feature designated as Direct, per The Verge.

What Was The Reason Why Facebook Launched Facebook Stories?

In a statement Connor Hayes, manager for Facebook told that they created this feature, Facebook Stories, because they want to change the way people are communicating online and interacting online. They also want to make the Facebook news feed more personal that's why Facebook Stories is not applicable for Facebook pages.
