Getting rid of a migraine postdrome is as hard as handling the migraine itself. To reduce the symptoms of migraine hangover, one will need to get enough rest and care. When a migraine is over, it does not mean that one should get back to their normal activities.

For migraine relief, it is important that one gets the necessary rest that they need and keep away from various strenuous activities. Once the patient knows their trigger, it can help to manage a migraine and also reduce the severe symptoms of a migraine postdrome.

Painkillers play a significant role in relieving headaches. However, a study proved prolonged use of painkillers is not ideal. If an individual takes the drugs on a regular basis, usually more than three times a week, one increases the chance of making the headaches worse.

Studies concluded that if one has a migraine or a tension headache, one should not take too many painkillers. Taking drugs more than ten days in the month will ultimately start giving more headaches that they used to originally suffer from.

Headaches are known to be one of the many symptoms of most health issues, but the intensity may be different on every individual. Dr. Manjit Matharu, a consultant neurologist specialist suggests that it is important that one keeps a healthy lifestyle and stays active.
