"Rick & Morty" Season 3 release date is not yet out. Although, the production team has been shooting the episodes for the upcoming season since last year, it is yet to specify a particular release date. So the wait continues for fans.

Latest news indicated that the showrunner has hired new writers to write the 14 episodes for the upcoming "Rick & Morty" Season 3. According to NME, the creator of the show, Dan Harmon explained on his Harmontown podcast that they are pretty much there and just need to finish up the animation.

Harmon Delayed 'Rick & Morty' Season 3?

Fans are simply dying to see the upcoming episodes of the animated science fiction sitcom come to their dressing room. However, they were disappointed when Dan Harmon said that he does not have a release date. According to him, it is not as if he knows it and is not allowed to say anything about it, reports Celebeat.

Rather, he surprised everyone by saying that "Rick & Morty" Season 3 has been delayed because of him. He amusingly also stated that the delay is due to his fights with co-creator, Justin Roiland. Although it is not something very serious that can jeopardize the production of the upcoming season, fans really want Harmon to come out with a specific release date.

New Writers Hired To Balance Gender Equity

In a surprising move, the "Rick & Morty" Season 3 team hired new writers to write the upcoming 14 episodes of the sitcom. According to Harmon, they have hired new writers so as to balance gender equity in the writers' room. He believes that this balance is very much important in the room, although not in representation.

Fans are happy that the showrunners are aware that "Rick & Morty" Season 3 has been delayed because of them and that they should complete the episodes fast.
