"Pirates of the Caribbean 5" recently released its international trailer, in which Johnny Depp's character appeared as the young Captain Sparrow for the first time. Previously, production unveiled several posters and teasers; however, the main focus of all of them was Captain Salazar, the main villain - or Henry Turner, the new entrant into the franchise.

Speculations are adrift that "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" may not majorly focus on Depp's Sparrow. Rather the team can think of shifting it to Bond-like villains who have been more successful in the recent times.

'Pirates of the Caribbean 5' Synopsis And Other Details

The recently released full-length trailer of the movie reveals a CGI of Young Jack Sparrow and lots of hints referring to the "Pirates of the Caribbean 4," reports Den of Geek. However, according to the source, it took long for Disney to show their main hero, Sparrow in the teaser and the exposure is also not as much as expected.

The trailer of "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" revealed a world full of gnarly beasties with rotten flesh, headed by none other than the main antagonist, Captain Salazar (Javier Bardem). The movie is not coming out until May 26, 2017, and will focus on how Sparrow saves himself from the dominance of Salazar by acquiring the Trident of Poseidon.

Franchise Aiming To Build New Stars

The source added that the franchise is planning to build a new set of stars, so that the series can be carried forward with young faces. Even Orlando Bloom hinted accordingly, a couple of years ago, saying that Disney wants to reboot the whole franchise.

It is a clear indication that Depp's Sparrow may not be given the complete focus in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean 5." Even Screen Crush speculated that the entire representation of the movie may change if the franchise plans to focus more on Bond-like villain actors instead of Captain Sparrow.

It would be interesting to see how the production team manages the distribution of screen space for other youngsters, new villains and big stars like Depp and Orlando Bloom in the upcoming "Pirates of the Caribbean 5."
