In a report posted by Yahoo!, a statement from Susan Etlinger, a tech industry critic for Altimeter Group said, Facebook and Snapchat are in an arms competition, which reveals the vulnerabilities of both organizations. She also added that Facebook uses Snapchat-like features to demonstrate its relevance to younger users, though Snapchat keeps accelerating features to maintain its fullness. The risk is that both businesses get bewildered from the bigger picture: how to stay significant in a frequently fragmented digital world.
