Kate Upton, Justin Verlander cannot resist their love for dogs. The power couple is set to adopt dogs in an upcoming event the supermodel organized herself. Meanwhile, the Sports Illustrated model was also vocal that she wants to see her husband-to-be in the pages of the swimsuit magazine in his Speedos.

Kate Upton, who has been with Justin Verlander for years now, will be conducting their third annual Grand Slam Adoption Event happening in Lakeland, Florida. The event organized by the couple shall showcase dogs, ready to be adopted. It also aims to help the SPCA Florida and K9s for Warriors.

Kate Upton, Justin Verlander To Host Event For Adopting Dogs

Though Kate Upton, Justin Verlander will be adopting a dog in the event as well, they will not take it home. The Sports Illustrated model is set to enter her new furry pal for a training.

"We're adopting a dog from the SPCA Florida, and we are going to pay for its training to be part of the K9s for Warriors Organization," she told in an interview with E! Online. "So even though I won't be able to love that adopted dog, I know that the dog will do a lot of good in one veteran's family and life."

Christie Williams, Kate Upton's sister, said that Upton will be there to have media interviews, one-on-one photo opportunities with the adoptable dogs, and just enjoy the event. However, Justin Verlander will not be present as he has pitching duties, Florida Today said. 

Kate Upton, Justin Verlander first hosted their event named Grand Slam Adoption Event in Mar. 2015. Currently, the 24-year-old supermodel and pitcher, Justin Verlander have a dog named Harley.

Meanwhile, the topic of seeing Justin Verlander in Sports Illustrated was raised when the model recently posted an Instagram photo showing him in a 2006 cover. Kate Upton said in the caption, "Where is your bikini?"

The athlete then responded with a funny remark that he has to remind her who was first on the cover of Sports Illustrated. When asked if she wanted to see the athlete in Speedo, Kate Upton said that she would love the idea.
