'The Crown' Season 2 Spoilers: Netflix Drama's Latest Pictures Give Glimpse Of Claire Foy, Matt Smith

Viewers are excited to see "The Crown" Season 2 on Netflix as early as possible. Lately, when some behind-the-scenes pictures of this popular Netflix series emerged online, fans had the privilege of spotting both Claire Foy and Mead Smith, two of the lead stars of the drama.

Matt Smith Looks Dashing In Behind-the-scenes Pictures Of "The Crown" Season 2

Hollywood.com posted a few photos online, where Smith looked dashing in his beige pants and a double-breasted jacket. The actor is portraying Prince Philip and is snapped in the picture with his co-star Daniel Ings. Smith is seen in the picture riding a black Aston Martin Lagonda Coup for the model year 1956.

On the other hand, Foy, who is seen as Queen Elizabeth II in the Netflix series, looks a bit different from the poised and calm character that she plays in the series. She has been snapped while eating a puff pastry, while shooting some scenes in London.

Foy's performance in "The Crown" Season 1 has been highly acclaimed by critics and viewers. She also bagged the Golden Globe Awards in the category of best actress.

But although the 32-year-old actress is loved by viewers, it appears that season 2 could be her last in this popular biopic series. It was in Dec. last year when Foy shared that she would not be seen after the end of "The Crown" Season 2.

Season 1 of the hit Netflix series was streamed in Nov. 2016 and was based on Queen Elizabeth's life from her wedding that took place in 1947, until the incidents that occured up to 1955. Peter Morgan had written and created this successful drama TV series.

The show took home two Golden Globe Awards in 2016. It bettered other TV series, even "Game of Thrones" to rake home the award for best drama.

"The Crown" Tagged As Costliest Television Series On Netflix

It was last year when the series got tagged as the most expensive television series on Netflix. According to some reports, the company had to incur an expense of over £100 million ($123,620,000.00) on this biopic drama that had 10 episodes in season 1.

Entertainment Weekly reported that other costly shows of the Netflix include "The Get Down" and "Sense8." "The Crown" Season 2 is expected to stream in Nov. on Netflix.
