Fans are now wondering if the new show, "The Arrangement" is based on the past marriage of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes. According to Romper, the show's story revolves around actress Megan Morrison, played by Christine Evangelista, who gets involved with a movie star named Kyle West, played by Josh Henderson, who offers Megan a marriage with him and he pays her for the said union.

Is "The Arrangement" About Katie Holmes And Tom Cruise?

Tom Cruise's controversial religion, Scientology, screened the actor's potential dates before ending up with Katie Holmes, as it was in his wishes that the church was heavily involved in the selection of his next wife. Holmes was reportedly the only one who was accepting of the religion, so they married and had a daughter together.

They were together for six years until they divorced in 2012. Holmes won sole custody of Suri. Despite the controversy around their relationship, there has been no solid proof that a marriage contract was in place.

Showrunner Speaks About "The Arrangement"

According to The Hollywood Reporter, show creator Jonathan Abrahams said that he and his coworkers were inspired by the reports going around Hollywood about the matter. According to Abrahams, they came up with ten couples who were reported to have had an arranged marriage - with some going back as far as the Golden Ages. "The Arrangement" has already sparked the interest of the public.

E! president, Adam Stotsky, said that people can draw up conclusions on what the controversial show is about. The show recently had a launch party at the beautiful Sheats Goldstein Residence last Feb. 15.

All of the show's stars were at the party. The president thinks that this show will give viewers a rare glimpse on what happens behind the scenes in Hollywood. As of now, the showrunner is yet to confirm if it is related to the marriage of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise.
