The "Doctor Who" magazine has paid tribute to the late Sir John Hurt. The cast, crew, and even the showrunner of the hit TV series, Steven Moffat came together for the veteran actor.

A recent report from Movie Pilot revealed that the showrunner, cast, and crew of "Doctor Who" remembered Sir John Hurt in the latest issue of their magazine, issue #510. The latest edition is now up for grabs and has a special recognition section for the "Harry Potter" actor.

"Doctor Who" Actors Remember Sir John Hurt

The former doctors, Matt Smith and David Tennant unveiled how glad they were to be able to work with Sir John Hurt. Tennant admitted that being able to work with Hurt was a privilege for him.

"We were terribly thrilled, and rather in awe of him — to be on set with him and just to be in his orbit," Tennant states. "He was a story teller. He had such a joy for life, that he would love to communicate, both in his acting and in his personal life."

Steven Moffat even praised the late veteran actor for his talent in writing. He also added that Hurt was always respected and worshipped by the people around him.

“He was incredibly nice. Now, nice does not seem like much of compliment, but you have to remember that this man was, quite rightly, worshipped by everyone he met," Moffat says. "Worship has been known to go to people’s heads but not John’s."

Jacqueline Pearce also shared her thoughts on Hurt's passing. She said that his death created a gap in her life, which cannot be replaced by anybody else. The two know each other so well, since they were mates in drama school. She also stated that she will always miss the British actor and she will always be grateful for his friendship and support.
