Fans of the vehicular soccer video game from Psyonix would be glad to know that the studio is releasing free new Dropshot mode for "Rocket League" next week, and it features a new arena called Core 707. The free new Dropshot Mode will change the way the game is played, as it also features an electrified ball that breaks down the ground in the Core 707 stadium.

Punch Holes In Your Opponent's Side

According to Polygon, the "Rocket League" matches in the Dropshot Mode will be held at the hexagonal Core 707 arena, where players are required to use their electrified balls to create holes in their opponent's side of the arena in order to score points. Psyonix explained that scores will be garnered if players can successfully punch holes on the ground of their opponent's side. When the player scores, the holes close again and players will have to repeat to score more goals.

More On The Electrified Ball And A New Patch

In addition, the electrified ball in the free new Dropshot Mode in "Rocket League" will be able to grow in strength as players dribble and hit it. This also increases the ball's damage potential. As per VG247, the ball has three phases, and the more it stays in flight, the more powerful it will become. The new Dropshot Mode is arriving to "Rocket League on March 22, completely free of charge.

Together with the free new Dropshot Mode for "Rocket League," Psyonix is also releasing a patch that marks the end for the third season of competitive play of the game. It will also feature unlockable crate items such as the Suji, Xenosplash, Furry Paint, Kalos, and the Black Market. In addition, the patch will also feature a Boost Meter and Rumble Power-up indicator for watchers in Player View. To keep up on the latest on "Rocket League," bookmark this page.
